Heads up you have homework and it is highlighted in yellow, email me your work.
This week we are in the First Week of Advent, the week of HOPE. I truly hope your parents sent over the information I sent via text on Sunday 11/28/2021.
We are entering the Second Week of Advent, the week of FAITH, what does this mean and what should you do? Let me try to get you to help. This week we will focus on FAITH. When w light this candle we are reminded to prepare the way of the Lord.
You will need your Bible "Breakthrough", look up LUKE 3:4-6, read the passage at least three times, read it slowly.
- As you read ask: SPEAK LORD FOR YOUR SERVANT IS LISTENING.
- As you listen, ask in silence ask: "LORD WHAT ARE YOU SAYING TO ME IN THIS PASSAGE?"
- Listen to the word or phrase that calls your attention or touches your heart.
- Ask in silence, "LORD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?"
When you take time to listen to what scripture tells you, you will start to change and open your heart to Jesus, remember who we are patiently waiting for this Season.
I'm attaching a few printables if you'd like to decorate your own Advent Wreath. You can color the flame in every Sunday!
I really hope the links work.
Please watch the video and pay attention to what is being said. You may want to watch it a couple of times.
I want you to email me your homework, look below for that information.
Your homework for this video is to tell me what you learned from it, what you had to look up for clarification, and tell me when is Mother Mary's Birthday.
In the video we see that Mary Saved the world, what does that mean? Well, Mary said YES, when the angel appeared to tell her that she would be the savior of the world. Jesus came to save us all when he died on the cross for us. Imagine what would of happened to us and the world if Mary at such a young age said, no, I'm sorry, you have the wrong girl. I can't be a mom to God's son I have an entire list of goals to accomplish? Think of what she said YES to and thank her for it, you can pray a Hail Mary to give thanks to her.
Here is an additional resource for the Feast Day of Immaculate Conception. It is a bit blurry but try to read it and, answer the FAITH FOCUS QUESTION as part of your homework.
MORE!!
The Mass is of course important and it is so important to understand the Liturgy of the Word. This week we have sort of a history lesson, review this video and be ready to pay attention during Mass.
After you have watched and learned from this video I have questions for your homework.
What did you learn from this video and what names stand out? Tell me what you thought of John and his image compared to the fancy rulers. There are many prophets what is the name of the Prophet who wrote the First Reading? Who is the Gospel by this week?
Who is Saint Nicholas? (Santa Claus) his story needs to be heard. Enjoy.
